Sascan participates in at the CDE Program organized by the Sree Mookambika Institute of Dental Sciences, (SMIDS) Kulashekaram, Tamil Nadu, on March 23rd, 2021.
Dr Elizabeth Mathew MDS, the Principal of SMIDS, Inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp and delivering the inaugural address. Later, Dr Subhash Narayanan PhD, the CEO& CTO of Sascan delivered a talk on “OralScan a novel device for early detection of oral cancer". This was followed by a talk by Dr Ranimol Prasanna MDS, Chief Clinical Scientist at Sascan, on “Differential diagnosis of lesions with OralScan”.
The working of OralScan was then demonstrated and a measurements were taken from a few patients of the day at the hospital. The PG and graduate students who attended CDE program were given a chance to get a familiarized with operation of the device and the data processing using its cloud based ML algorithm.
