Sascan wins the National Startup India Award 2021 in the Diagnostics category under the Health and Wellness group

Sascan Meditech Private Limited was adjudged the winner in Health & Wellness category under Diagnostics' segment for OralScan, which is a multispectral imaging device that screens and detects early-stage oral cancers in real time. Hon Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri. Piyush Goyal honoured the winners in the online event conducted on Jan 15 2022. DPPIT Secretary, Shri Anurag Jain spoke on the occasion about the support given by the government for startups.

National Startup Awards 2021 is the second edition of the award series, conceived by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). A total of forty-six Startups have been recognized as winners of the National Startup Awards 2021 along with one incubator and one accelerator by the Government of India for their contribution in their respective sectors.

Over 2177 applications were received across fifteen sectors and forty-nine sub-sectors for the award. These applicants were evaluated against six broad parameters namely Innovation, Scalability, Economic Impact, Social Impact, Environmental Impact, and Inclusiveness and Diversity. The National Startup Awards recognize and reward outstanding Startups and ecosystem enablers that are building innovative products or solutions and scalable enterprises.
