Biography

Subhash has over 35 years of experience in bio-photonics, optical instrumentation, bio-medicine and clinical research. He started his research career as a Scientist at the National Center for Earth Sciences in Thiruvananthapuram, where he went on to establish a laboratory for Biophotonics at the Atmospheric Sciences Division. In addition to his research activities in remote sensing of vegetation and corals, he was engaged in the application of optical spectroscopy for tissue characterization and cancer detection collaborating with the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) and the Govt Dental College, Thiruvananthapuram.  in 2010 he was conferred the NOVARTIS ORATION award by the Indian Council of Medical Research for his contributions in cancer research.
