Biography

Phebe George works in the R&D team at Sascan as a Biomedical Engineer. She is responsible for the product development, clinical validations and regulatory activities of Cerviscan and other medical devices developed by Sascan.

Before joining the company she had the opportunity of getting involved in the R&D activities of the company on a one-year internship as part of her M.Tech Biomedical Engineering final year project. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Kerala. Her undergraduate project was in the area of biomedical signal processing and medical instrumentation, which was instrumental in her entering into the the interdisciplinary field of medical engineering. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. Her MTech project work Non-invasive detection of cervical cancer using bimodal imaging techniques was well appreciated by the reviewers. Her areas of interest include Bio-Medical Instrumentation and clinical Research.

Phebe enjoys reading crime novels and playing keys in her pastime.  She is a passionate and optimistic person.
